As part of its continued commitment to creating a positive social impact, Mitsubishi Electric India has undertaken a significant initiative to improve access to clean and safe drinking water in rural areas. Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, the company has supported the installation of two Water ATM machines in the Maval region of Pune district, Maharashtra, one at Badhwadi (Taluka Maval) and another at Jadhwadi (Taluka Maval).

The Water ATM units are fully automated 200-litre water dispensing systems equipped with advanced filtration technology to ensure clean, potable water for the local population. These units have been strategically installed near key community areas to maximize accessibility and address the persistent issue of water scarcity in these villages.

The Water ATM at Badhwadi village is located near the Maruthi Temple and has already started benefiting hundreds of residents by providing free access to safe drinking water. Similarly, the unit installed at Jadhwadi village is expected to have a significant impact on public health and hygiene by eliminating the dependency on unreliable and often contaminated water sources.

This initiative goes beyond just providing water, it aims to foster responsible water usage and support sustainable rural development. By reducing the need to travel long distances for clean water, the project also empowers women and children, who are typically the most affected by water shortages.

Through these efforts, Mitsubishi Electric India reaffirms its dedication to the well- being of local communities while promoting sustainable solutions that contribute to a healthier and more equitable future for all.
